murder most foul

Somewhere between yesterday and forever, above the earth, beneath the sky, I found out that dreams can die too. Their guiding light wavers as days and heartbeats pass you by. Bits and pieces are carried away, succumbing to fate and the whim of the winds.

We delude ourselves though and carry on, braving the unending uncertainty of life to claim that one special pursuit. Once in a while, we get lucky. For a brief second, the shadows part and we get to touch our hope and make it real.

And there the dream dies, on contact with the heart. We recognize our dream for what it is: a goal, a success or a failure; once done, ends.

Grasping our dream, in triumph or loss, we kill the dream. But as the pieces fall, something magical happens. A dream is borne anew, just as unattainable, twice as appealing. Such is the way of man: a never-ending quest somewhere between yesterday and forever. Above earth, beneath sky.

sulatin

for youth, the arts and petunia!

I've had DSL for a long while now, and yet only now do I realize what I've truly been missing and what I can do about it.

Of course, for those shameless (read: no credit-card, no income) few, I've dug up these choice morsels to fuel the fire:
  • A torrent of Season 1 from www.iPodNova.tv which would require you to register (which is quick and free, so no fuss on your part and all pete & pete <3)
  • A torrent of Season 2 luckily found while looking around for the soundtrack
  • Another torrent but only has a hodge podge of episodes, notably some from seasons 2 and 3
Anyway, when I get a job or a credit card (not necessarily through legal means), I know what's going to be on top of my list of acquisitions. Hopefully by then, Season 3 will be out on DVD, so don't forget to do your part!

my monitor, a metaphor and me

Used to be, my computer monitor was as clear as a noble intention. The colors splayed across its screen solidly and vibrant pixels spilled like hopes and dreams.

Now it's fidgeting, lines sprawled in places they shouldn't be. Cracks and streaks run across what's left of vision, a wrung out shell of expectations barely keeping up.

The onus of recovering is great, the job tritely
demands the simple execution of heavily invested interests. A screen shuts off and turns on again. It blinks, takes its time, garners the strength and, slowly, momentum burgeons forth.

My monitor would like some pizza now, and maybe some beer.
